{"value":{"id":651652,"memberId":4311,"member":null,"memberRole":"The Minister of State, Home Office","uin":"HLWS314","dateMade":"2016-12-05T00:00:00","answeringBodyId":1,"answeringBodyName":"Home Office","title":"Police Leadership","text":"<p>My rt hon Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department (Amber Rudd) has today made the following Written Ministerial Statement:</p><p>I am pleased to inform Parliament that Her Majesty the Queen has approved a two year extension to the appointment of Craig Mackey QPM, Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis.</p><p>I recommended this extension to Her Majesty having had regard to a recommendation from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis and a representation from the Mayor of London as occupant of the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime.</p><p>My recommendation recognises the important contribution the Deputy Commissioner has made both nationally and to the Metropolitan Police Service as it has been undergoing a period of transformation.</p><p>The extension to 22 January 2019 provides stability for the Metropolitan Police Service and enables the Deputy Commissioner to continue to play a vital role in cutting crime and keeping Londoners safe.</p>","house":"Lords","noticeNumber":0,"hasAttachments":false,"hasLinkedStatements":true,"linkedStatements":[{"linkedStatementId":651648,"linkType":"JointStatement","linkDate":"2016-12-05T00:00:00"}],"attachments":[]},"links":[{"rel":"self","href":"/Statements/651652","method":"GET"}]}
