The reviewers recommended that IIAC remain as an arm’s length body sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions. They concluded that it continues to meet the recognised principles of good corporate governance and of providing scientific advice to government about the occupational nature of diseases in the context of the Industrial Injuries Scheme.
