His appointment is for a period of 2 years, commencing on 16 March 2015 and ending on 16 March 2017.</p><p> </p><p>The process by which Sir Patrick was appointed followed the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments’ (OCPA) Code of Practice for Ministerial Appointments to Public Bodies, and was scrutinised by an OCPA Public Appointments Assessor throughout.</p><p> </p><p>I am delighted that this rigorous open competition has resulted in the appointment of a very capable and highly regarded Chair to establish the OGA at a crucial time for the UK Continental Shelf.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>","house":"Lords","noticeNumber":0,"hasAttachments":false,"hasLinkedStatements":true,"linkedStatements":[{"linkedStatementId":225707,"linkType":"JointStatement","linkDate":"2015-03-09T00:00:00"}],"attachments":[]},"links":[{"rel":"self","href":"/Statements/225711","method":"GET"}]}
