{"value":{"id":1739843,"memberId":4998,"member":null,"memberRole":"Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Energy)","uin":"HCWS195","dateMade":"2024-11-06T00:00:00","answeringBodyId":215,"answeringBodyName":"Department for Energy Security and Net Zero","title":"Energy Infrastructure Planning Projects","text":"<p>My Noble Friend, the Minister of State for Energy Security and Net Zero (Lord Hunt of Kings Heath OBE), made the following statement today.</p><p>This Statement concerns an application for development consent made under the Planning Act 2008 by West Burton Solar Project Limited for the construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of a solar photovoltaic array electricity generating station situated in Lincolnshire.</p><p>Under section 107(1) of the Planning Act 2008, the Secretary of State must make a decision on an application within three months of the receipt of the Examining Authority’s report unless exercising the power under section 107(3) of the Act to set a new deadline. Where a new deadline is set, the Secretary of State must make a Statement to Parliament to announce it.</p><p>The current statutory deadline for the decision on the West Burton Solar Project application is 8 November 2024.</p><p>I have decided to allow a short extension and to set a new deadline of 24 January 2025 to allow time for necessary public consultation on potential variations to the application.</p><p>The decision to set the new deadline for this application is without prejudice to the decision on whether to grant or refuse development consent.</p>","house":"Commons","noticeNumber":5,"hasAttachments":false,"hasLinkedStatements":true,"linkedStatements":[{"linkedStatementId":1739848,"linkType":"JointStatement","linkDate":"2024-11-06T00:00:00"}],"attachments":[]},"links":[{"rel":"self","href":"/Statements/1739843","method":"GET"}]}
