{"value":{"id":1126344,"memberId":1562,"member":null,"memberRole":"Minister of State for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food","uin":"HCWS1555","dateMade":"2019-05-14T00:00:00","answeringBodyId":13,"answeringBodyName":"Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs","title":"May Agriculture and Fisheries Council ","text":"<p>Agriculture and Fisheries Council takes place in Brussels on 14 May.</p><p>As the provisional agenda stands, the primary focus for agriculture will be on the Post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform package. Ministers will exchange views on the new delivery model in the Regulation on CAP Strategic Plans.</p><p>Member States will also exchange views on the agricultural aspects of the Commission’s communication titled ‘Clean Planet for all: strategic long-term vision for a climate neutral economy’.</p><p>The Commission will then provide an update on the performance of EU agricultural trade after which Ministers will hold an exchange of views.</p><p>There are currently three items scheduled for discussion under ‘any other business’:</p><ul><li>Information from the Netherlands delegation on the judgement of the Court of Justice on organisms obtained by mutagenesis (case C-528/16).</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Information from the Spanish and French delegations on the Regulation on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Information by the Belgian delegation on the situation in the fruit sector for apples and pears.</li></ul>","house":"Commons","noticeNumber":1,"hasAttachments":false,"hasLinkedStatements":false,"linkedStatements":null,"attachments":[]},"links":[{"rel":"self","href":"/Statements/1126344","method":"GET"}]}
