Instead, they are determined by local employers and education providers who decide the number of learners they admit based on learner demand and provider capacity.</p><p>We are improving workforce planning to align job vacancies with the anticipated supply of graduating students. NHS England is actively monitoring future student numbers and using a student movement dashboard to enable regional NHS England teams, universities, and employers to understand where future vacancies will arise and signpost newly graduated students towards these roles.
