This includes collaborating on the extension of Mental Health Support Teams to all schools and colleges by 2029, so every child and young person has access to early support before problems escalate. We are also working closely with DHSC to develop the government’s forthcoming mental health strategy.</p><p>The department provides a range of guidance and practical resources on promoting and supporting pupils’ mental health and wellbeing, as well as the ‘Behaviour in Schools’ guidance, which sets out how schools should apply sanctions lawfully and consistently, while making appropriate adjustments for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or mental health needs.</p>","originalAnswerText":"","comparableAnswerText":"","dateAnswerCorrected":null,"dateHoldingAnswer":null,"attachmentCount":0,"heading":"Schools: Mental Health Services","attachments":[],"groupedQuestionsDates":[]},"links":[{"rel":"self","href":"/Questions/1908704","method":"GET"}]}
