In line with those principles, the Government expects local authorities to maintain robust contingency arrangements to support their communities. Where additional local needs are identified, including those of vulnerable residents, local authorities may also use their discretionary powers to provide grants, loans or other payments for resilience measures, where appropriate.</p>","originalAnswerText":"","comparableAnswerText":"","dateAnswerCorrected":null,"dateHoldingAnswer":null,"attachmentCount":0,"heading":"Floods: Finance","attachments":[],"groupedQuestionsDates":[]},"links":[{"rel":"self","href":"/Questions/1908233","method":"GET"}]}
