Businesses must carry out a risk assessment and should display a poster confirming they have complied with guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19. This helps increase consumer confidence that the business they are visiting have taken all reasonable steps to make their premises safe.</p><p> </p><p>Over the summer we ran an Enjoy Summer Safely campaign, including a Shop Local Week, encouraging the public to take advantage of the reopening of the hospitality sector while taking care to minimise the risk of coronavirus transmission.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally from 24 September, we have extended the requirement to wear face coverings to include staff in retail.</p><p> </p><p>We have allocated £50million to support the safe reopening of high streets which allows local authorities in England to put in place additional measures to establish a safe trading environment.</p>","originalAnswerText":"","comparableAnswerText":"","dateAnswerCorrected":null,"dateHoldingAnswer":null,"attachmentCount":0,"heading":"Retail Trade: Urban Areas","attachments":[],"groupedQuestionsDates":[]},"links":[{"rel":"self","href":"/Questions/1237114","method":"GET"}]}
